A famous and one of the largest bird parks in Asia was Jurong Bird Park which was located in the Western region of Singapore. It opened in 1971, and it was a great source of wildlife attraction with a large collection of bird species in the world. The park, which was spread over well landscaped grounds, contained thousands of birds which represented hundreds of species and was thus a place of visitation to families, tourists, and nature lovers.

Jurong Bird Park was well renowned on conservation efforts and breeding programs especially on the endangered bird species. It was a significant step in sensitising people on the issue of wildlife protection and biodiversity.

The Waterfall Aviary, one of the largest walk-in aviaries in the world, was one of the most renowned places of attraction at Jurong Bird Park. It had a tall slender waterfall that was indoors with a beautiful scenic view of greenery that gave a beautiful backdrop to the colourful birds as they flew in the atmosphere. People had a chance to visit the aviary and have close contact with different species.

Another top attraction was the Lory Loft where visitors were able to feed colourful loris and lorikeets and place them on their shoulders and hands. It was particularly popular among children and families because of this interactive experience.
